ToyMakers Extraordinary Commitment to Community Service

World War II veteran, Thad Pollard, and his son, Gary, are regular Toymakers of East Lake volunteers.  They typically spend their Saturday mornings cutting out hundreds of wooden toys on band saws for the kids we serve.  While they are two of our most frequent and productive volunteers, they also volunteer for various duties supporting the Honor Flights for WWII veterans to Washington, DC.  In this picture they have built racks for holding the wheel chairs used by the Honor Flight recipients.  Next time you are visiting the shop on a Saturday morning, please be sure to thank Thad and Gary for their extraordinary commitment to community service, Toymakers and Honor Flights.
